Bookings for summer 2026 will open for all refuges on 15 October 2025.

You can change the dates of your booking and its services, subject to availability, up to 48 hours before your stay. A cancellation can only be made at least 30 days before the stay date. Otherwise, you can also contact the refuge concerned directly.

You can manage your cancellations directly from your customer area, in theMy bookings.

You can submit your cancellation request from your account.

More than 30 days before,you will be refunded 80% of the deposit paid, in accordance with the cancellation conditions.

Less than 30 days before,no refund is made, unless you have taken out cancellation and trip interruption insurance.

If you have taken out cancellation and trip interruption insurance,the insurance may reimburse the deposit paid, minus 5%, according to the terms of your contract.

This is possible, but there are several things to bear in mind — you really need to:

• check with each refuge whether it accepts dogs
• bring your own food for the dog
• remember that you will have to cross Nature Reserves where dogs are banned. This affects Les Contamines-Montjoie and the Vallée de Chamonix, so a large part of the route.
• there are flocks of several hundred sheep, along with guard dogs (against wolves) and working dogs (for herding), which can create real problems for cohabitation (fights are possible...)
• cable cars usually do not accept dogs

Finally, remember to protect or care for your dog's paws (pads), as the stones on the trails can cause injury after several consecutive days of walking.

The TMB with a dog is therefore not the simplest option and requires real care and very good organisation.
