Located to the south of the Mont-Blanc mountain range:
- in the magnificent vallée des Glaciers
- 1864 metres above sea level
- at the foot of the aiguille des Glaciers and the col de la Seigne
- on the Tour du Mont-Blanc, GR TMB trekking route
This old ancestral mountain chalet was refurbished in 2010.
It will be open from the 10th June 2026 until 20th September 2026.

With a family friendly atmosphere, the team at la Refuge des Mottets invite you to spend fun filled evenings with family and friends.
You will stay in a large or small 4 bed dormitory complete with hot shower and bathroom in a separate building. (blankets available, make sure you have a fabric liner)
In a two bed room with or without shower room (duvets, sheet or fabric liner provided)

Practical information

On foot: located between Refuge du Bonhomme and Refuge Elisabetta
2 hours from the Col de la Seigne

By car: 25km from Bourg Saint Maurice, drive towards Cormet de Roselend and Chapieux,
continue for 6km, pass la Ville des Glaciers and continue on foot for 20 minutes
Please note, the road is closed during Winter

Dinner is served at 7.00pm.
Breakfast at 7.00am.

- We produce our own electricity and are therefore dependant on weather conditions. Thanks for your understanding.
- There is no telephone network in the Vallée des Glaciers.
